An unusual fern native to the Southern USA and Mexico, Cheilanthes tomentosa has blue-green fronds covered in fine, silvery hairs. The hairs give the fronds a silvery appearance. 

Cheilanthes tomentosa enjoys sun or partial shade and well drained soil. Avoid areas prone to sitting wet over winter or water logging. Excellent for rockeries or large containers.
