Available Autumn 2019 A classic Sorbus hupehensis which has been grown from collected seed with blue-green, pinnate (feather-like) leaves that turn splendid shades of fiery red and orange in autumn before falling. Masses of small white flowers in early summer are followed by clusters of colourful white to pink berries in autumn. A superb garden tree!

Supplied Size: 4/5L pot (approx 3 years old, 125 - 150 cm tall)

  • Soil: Well drained, fertile soils.
  • Hardiness: Hardy.
  • Flowering Period: May.
  • Flower Colour: White
  • Rate of Growth: Moderate to vigorous.
  • Habit: Small, branching, rounded tree.
    • Height: 8 m (26 ft)
    • Spread: 6 m (20 ft)
  • Notes: These have been grafted from a handsome seed grown specimen in my arboretum which has grown well here in Derbyshire..
