Native to parts of China, this is a rare medium sized to large shrub once established with really quite large dark green oval leaves and clusters of white flowers in early summer followed by speckled purple-brown fruit in autumn. The younger stems are a handsome reddish-brown in colour.

Best fruit display once established if planted in a sunny position, ideally with some shelter from strong winds.
