This columnar form of our native oak is one of the most handsome fastigiate trees. The leaves are glossy green, turning shades of golden yellow and bronze before falling in autumn.

Quercus robur 'Fastigiata Koster' is bone hardy and suitable for most soils and all but the smallest gardens have room for a specimen of this cultivar.

  • Soil: Any, fertile soil. Tolerates damp but well drained soil. Avoid waterlogged areas.
