A new introduction to the United Kingdom with vividly coloured spring leaves, Quercus texana 'New Madrid' was first discovered growing in New Madrid, Missouri, USA. The new leaves are a deep burgundy-red when they emerge in spring, turning dark green as they age, before developing colourful red and orange tints in a good, crisp autumn.

Quercus texana 'New Madrid'  is a rare and handsome garden tree.
