Native to parts of the Southern United States, Quercus hemisphaerica is semi-evergreen in the UK with long, narrow glossy green leaves sometimes with small lobes at the apex. In a cold winter some leaves may fall and be replaced in the following Spring. Somewhat similar in appearance to Quercus laurifolia.
Quite vigorous, established trees have a handsome branching habit.
