(Eared Lady Fern) A delightful Japanese fern, Athyrium otophorum var. okanum has arching fronds which emerge yellow in colour, gradually turning very pale green later in the year with dark purple-red stalks and ribs.

A delightful Japanese fern, Athyrium otophorum var. okanum has arching fronds which emerge yellow in colour, gradually turning very pale green later in the year with dark purple-red stalks and ribs. 

Best in a position in light dappled or partial shade. It can also be grown very successfully in a container, provided it is in a shady position.
