Available Autumn 2017 - A handsome hybrid between Quercus coccinea x Quercus nigra, this will grow to be a small tree in the UK with decent vigour and fiery orange and red autumn colour once established.

In the UK, Quercus x 'Fire Water' is reasonably hardy but will usually grow best in a warm, sunny position with good drainage. It would not enjoy a cold, waterlogged site..

  • Notes: Found in group of seedlings at Starhill Forest Arboretum in Illinois, US.
