A twining, deciduous climber native to parts of China and the Himalayas, Schisandra rubriflora has deep-crimson flowers nearly 2 - 3 cm wide in early summer. The leaves are a lovely cool green.

Schisandra rubriflora is a choice, unusual choice for a shady wall or climbing through a tree in a woodland garden.

  • Hardiness: Reasonably hardy. Schisandra rubriflora requires shelter from cold winter winds.
