New to us, Betula utilis 'Chris Sanders' grows to be a striking medium sized tree, slender when young which develops dark purple-red bark once established with white lenticels. The peeling bark is bronze-orange in colour. green leaves have some yellow tints before falling in autumn. Excellent displays of long catkins once mature.

Best growth rate and habit once established if planted in a position with plenty of sun.
