New to us, Weigela florida 'Princess Ayla' is densely branching compact shrub with lime-yellow leaves in spring which gradually turn darker green later on and handsome, tubular pink flowers in summer.

New to us, Weigela florida 'Princess Ayla' is densely branching compact shrub with lime-yellow leaves in spring which gradually turn darker green later on and handsome, tubular pink flowers in summer. . The flowers are popular with insects including bees.

Although tolerant of some shade, best foliage colour and display of flowers will usually be seen if planted in a position with plenty of sun. Can be grown well in a large container.
