(Cut-leaved Black Elder ) A superb hardy, deciduous, medium sized shrub with lovely finely divided, purple-black summer leaves which are particularly vibrant when viewed against a bright background or open sky.

Pretty clusters of rich pinkish-white flowers appear on the branches in midsummer followed by small dark berries in late summer and autumn.

A stunning garden shrub that can also be grown well in a large container. Can be pruned yearly to keep to a size if required.
