Rhus aromatica 'Gro-Low'

New to us, Rhus aromatica 'Gro-Low' is an eye-catching, low and spreading deciduous shrub which has dark green, three-lobed leaves in Spring and summer and clusters of scented yellowish-green flowers in late Spring which are popular with bees and butterflies. Established plants may produce red berries in summer which are popular with birds. In autumn the leaves turn vibrant shades of orange, purple and red before falling.

Ideal for growing as ground cover or a weed suppressant in a position with sun or dappled shade.

• Soil: Well drained, fertile soil. Rhus aromatica 'Gro-Low' will tolerate poor soils and reasonably dry conditions once established.
