A showy and tough ground cover plant, Lamium maculatum 'Beacon Silver' has delicate silvery-green leaves and whorls of vivid magenta flowers in late spring and early summer. Although this will grow well in sun, it is most spectacular when planted in light dappled or partial shade, where the leaves are nearly luminous.
