(Golden Variegated Holy) A lovely but oddly named holly, Ilex x altaclerensis 'Golden King' is actually a female holly with golden-variegated, dark green leaves and masses of dark red berries if pollinated by a male holly. The golden variegation is eye-catching and makes this form an excellent choice of shrub for giving some winter interest to a mixed border.

Very suitable for growing in a large container or as a screening plant as an unusual and colourful hedge!
