Product Details

An excellent foliage plant for damp conditions, Hosta 'Halcyon' has thick, crinkle-veined and glaucous grey-blue leaves up to 20 cm long, produced in a tight clump.

The tough leaves are less appetizing to slugs, and consequently suffer less damage than many others.

Spikes of mauve flowers 45 cm high appear in midsummer. Can be grown in a large container.

Position: Partial or full shade.
Soil: Most fertile soil. Avoid waterlogged or very dry soils.
Hardiness: Hardy.
Flowering Period: July - August.
Rate of Growth: Moderate.
Habit: Hosta 'Halcyon' grows to be a low, clump forming perennial.
