Product Details

This fascinating cultivar is named after one of the owners of Bluebell Nursery, Suzette Vernon and has aromatic, cream variegated leaves and dark, purple-red stems.

The cream variegation is very pretty, appearing almost as though the dark green leaves have been splashed with a creamy-yellow paint. Drimys lanceolata 'Suzette' also has pretty, white flowers in April and May.

Position: Full sun or partial shade.
Soil: Moist, fertile soil.
Hardiness: Reasonably hardy. Drimys lanceolata 'Suzette' requires shelter from cold winter winds and may require protection in exceptionally cold winters.
Flowering Period: April - May.
Flower Colour: Creamy white
Rate of Growth: Slow.
Habit: Drimys lanceolata 'Suzette' grows to be a medium sized, densely branching shrub.
- Height: eventually up to 2 - 2.5 m (6 - 8 ft).
