(Flowering Dogwood) New to us, this is an unusual, semi-evergreen Cornus which has large creamy-white bracts in early summer which develop pretty pink tints as they age.

The leaves are dark green in colour and in a very mild area can last through the winter although typically some or all will fall in cold areas or after a severe spell of winter weather. If they do start to fall they develop purple and red tints. The photo shows leaf colour here in Derbyshire in late December.

A fantastic flowering plant with best flower display usually being seen when planted in a position with plenty of sun.
