An attractive, vigorous climber found growing in the wild in parts of Western China. Clematis rehderiana has delicate, pale green leaves and masses of small, bell-shaped, soft-yellow flowers smelling of primroses in late summer.

A great choice of Clematis for scrambling up an old tree or up a large area of trellis!

Position: Full sun or partial shade.
Soil: Well drained, fertile soil.
Hardiness: Hardy.
Flowering Period: July - September.
Flower Colour: Pale yellow
Rate of Growth: Vigorous.
Habit: Large climbing, scrambling Clematis.
- Height: up to 6 - 8 m (20 - 26 ft) if unpruned
- Spread: up to 3 m (10 ft)

Pruning: To reduce the size, prune Clematis rehderiana back to a pair of strong buds, 10 - 20cm above ground level before growth begins in early spring.
