A rare native grass, Briza media forms a tidy clump of narrow bluish green leaves supports a profusion of scaly heart-shaped, pendant flower heads from late spring. The flower heads are a delicate pink tinged green at first, slowly turning a rich straw colour over the summer.
The great beauty of this grass is the seed heads swaying in a gentle summer breeze. Superb when planted in small groups.
