Betula pendula 'Youngii'
(Weeping Birch) A well known and graceful, small weeping tree with a dome-like habit once established, with trailing branches weeping to the ground. The bark turns silver white as it matures. Hardy and tolerant of wind.

A well known and graceful weeping tree, Betula pendula 'Youngii' has a dome-like habit once established, with trailing branches weeping to the ground. The leaves are mid green and turn shades of yellow and bronze before falling in autumn. The bark on young trees is bronze/brown, turning dark silver in places as it ages.
A lovely, tough and easy to grow small tree, suitable for planting in a border or as a standalone specimen.
- Position: Full sun or light, dappled shade.
- Soil: Any fertile soil but avoid waterlogged areas.
- Hardiness: Hardy.
- Rate of Growth: Vigorous
- Habit: Small, gracefully weeping tree.

- Notes: Please be aware that the immature bark of Betula pendula 'Youngii' is bronze-brown in colour and it can take 2 - 3 years for the bark to start turning white.
