A very rare species of chestnut native to parts of China, Aesculus wilsonii has handsome large leaves which emerge bronze-brown in colour and gradually darken to green later in summer. Established plants have attractive white flowers with yellow and red centers in early summer.

Aesculus wilsonii  is a very rare tree, generally slow to grow initially and not for instant gratification but very handsome once established.
