Description

An eye-catching species of cherry native to parts of China, Prunus triloba has masses of double, pinkish-white flowers which cover the branches in spring each year. These flowers are very pretty and can be up to 2.5 cm (1 inch) in diameter.

A popular spring flowering plant, Prunus triloba is particularly suitable for planting against a sunny, south facing wall or fence.

Supplied Size: 3L pots (approx 3 years old, 40 - 60 cm tall)


  • Position: Full sun or light, dappled shade.
  • Soil: Well drained, fertile soil.
  • Hardiness: Hardy.
  • Flowering Period: March - April.
  • Flower Colour: Pale pink

  • Habit: Prunus triloba eventually a medium sized or eventually large branching shrub.

  • Notes: Prunus are known for their vigorous root systems and should not be planted over drains or close to house foundations. Prune after flowering to shape if required.
