Prunus campanulata 'Felix Jury'

An unusual ornamental cherry, Prunus campanulata 'Felix Jury' has masses of deep pinkish-red, bell-shaped flowers in spring. The dark green summer leaves have purple and orange tints in autumn before falling.

Best in a sunny position, ideally with shelter from strong winds. Prefers a south-west or west facing position.

• Position: Full sun or light, dappled shade.
• Soil: Any fertile soil.
• Hardiness: Reasonably hardy. Avoid planting in frost pockets and protect young leaves from late frost when juvenile in Spring.
• Flowering Period: April.
• Rate of Growth: Moderate.
• Habit: Small rounded branching tree once established.
