An unusual and very pretty semi-evergreen shrub with powdery grey-green leaves and white flowers flushed with a tiny ripple of raspberry-pink in early summer.

Zenobia pulverulenta 'Raspberry Ripple' is generally best grown in a lime free or acid soil with light, dappled shade.


  • Position: Partial shade.
  • Soil: Moist yet well drained, acid soil or lime free soil.
  • Hardiness: Somewhat hardy. May require shelter from cold winter winds and protection in severe winter weather.
  • Flowering Period: June - July.
  • Rate of Growth: Slow. Zenobia pulverulenta 'Raspberry Ripple' is a semi-evergreen plant which will keep all its leaves in a mild winter and drop them in a very cold winter.
  • Habit: Zenobia pulverulenta 'Raspberry Ripple' grows to be a small branching shrub.
