An unusual cultivar which is similar to the species Aralia elata but with spectacular, creamy-white margined leaves up to 100 - 125 cm long. This colourful variegated foliage is complimented by plumes of creamy white flowers produced in midsummer.

The unvariegated stock of this grafted plant will produce suckers if disturbed so it is best to apply mulch freely instead of digging or hoeing nearby. Any suckers should be torn gently away from the root rather than pruned. A handsome foliage plant once established!

This plant is valuable, difficult to propagate, fickle in the wrong position and susceptible to late spring frost. As such it is not covered by our usual years guarantee.

  • Position: Full sun or light, partial shade in a position sheltered from strong winds.
