Lonicera alseuosmoides

(Honeysuckle) A rare and beautiful, semi-evergreen climber with fragrant yellow and purple flowers in summer which are popular with bees and butterflies.  These flowers are followed by small black fruit later in summer. Dark green leaves.

As a semi-evergreen climber it will hold its leaves in a mild winter and drop some or all in a cold winter.

• Soil: Well drained, fertile soil.
• Hardiness: Reasonably hardy. Lonicera alseuosmoides enjoys shelter from strong winds.
• Flowering Period: late June - August.
• Flower Colour: Yellow and purple.
• Rate of Growth: Moderate.
• Habit: Lonicera alseuosmoides grows to be a medium sized climbing plant which requires support as it will not self-cling.
