  • Position: Warm in full sun.
  • Soil: Well drained, fertile soil. Lespedeza thunbergii 'Edo-shibori' should not be planted in areas prone to waterlogging. Dislikes fertiliser.
  • Hardiness: Reasonably hardy. Lespedeza thunbergii  'Edo-shibori' requires shelter from cold winter winds.
  • Flowering Period: August - September.
  • Flower Colour: Purplish-pink and white
  • Rate of Growth: Moderate.
  • Habit: Medium sized branching shrub with an arching branches. Benefits from being pruned back hard in early Spring after a cold winter as will grow well from the base.
    • Height: 1.5 m (5 - 6 ft).
    • Spread: 1.5 m (5 ft).
  • Notes:  Lespedeza thunbergii  'Edo-shibori' can be a fickle and difficult plant in the winter if if planted in a poor position. As such, it is not covered by our guarantee.
