(Purple Beech) An unusual and sought after beech with handsome dark purple-red, curious, curled leaves. In the autumn the leaves turn bronze and hang on the branches until gradually blown off by the wind in winter. In our experience, the leaf colour is at its most vivid if planted in a sunny position.

Slowly develops into a small but very attractive tree. Grows well in a large container.
