The charming deep green leaves of this slow growing, quite upright, beech are shaped like small spoons with pale hairy edges. Fagus sylvatica 'Greenwood' is a  really lovely and rare cultivar for the connoisseur.

Gradually develops into a very elegant, small branching, upright tree. Best in sun or dappled shade with some shelter from strong winds. Very rarely available for sale.

  • Soil: Well drained, fertile soil.
  • Hardiness: Hardy.
  • Rate of Growth: Slow.
  • Habit: Fagus sylvatica 'Greenwood'  eventually a small, branching tree with an upright habit.
