(Spindle Tree) Native to China, Euonymus tingens is grows to be a striking large evergreen shrub which has creamy-white flowers in early summer followed by creamy-pink fruit which splits to reveal orange to scarlet seed within. The leaves are dark green in colour and finely toothed. 

Most suited for a position in full sun sheltered from strong winds. 


  • Position: Full sun or partial shade.
  • Soil: Any fertile soil.
  • Hardiness: Reasonably hardy. Not suited for cold, windy areas.
  • Flowering Period: May - June.
  • Rate of Growth: Moderate.
  • Habit: Large branching shrub.
