A vigorous native shrub, Euonymus europaeus has attractive autumn tints and bright pink fruit which split to reveal glowing orange seeds. The leaves are dark green in the summer months and turn rich orange and red in October.

Euonymus europaeus will pollinate Euonymus europaeus ''Red Cascade' and vice versa, meaning much better displays of colourful berries in late summer or autumn if planted near each other. Several can be planted together in the same hole to improve pollination.

Euonymus europaeus is ideal for planting as an unusual backdrop shrub in flowering borders and makes a superb woodland plant.
