Cornus kousa 'Flower Tower'

New to us, this grows to be a very slender, upright large shrub or eventually very small tree smothered with large, creamy-white flower bracts in early summer once established. The dark green summer leaves turn shades of purple and orange before falling.

Best flower display in a position with plenty of sun. Can be grown in a large container.

• Soil: Any well drained, fertile soil.

• Habit: Cornus kousa 'Flower Tower'  grows to be an upright and slender large shrub or eventually small tree.
  • Height: 3 - 4 m (10 - 13 ft).
  • Spread: 1 - 1.5 m (3 - 5 ft).

• Notes: The flowering of this Cornus is somewhat dependent upon the previous years summer weather. After a long hot summer, the following years flowering will be magnificent and after a cold, wet summer the following years flowering will be poor or sporadic.
