Large red and orange, strawberry-like fruits follow the flower bracts in autumn after a hot summer. The leaves are dark green in summer and turn shades of purple and red in autumn before falling.

Usually has best display of flower bracts once established when planted in a position with plenty of sun. Makes an excellent container plant.
