Carex flacca 'Blue Zinger'

New to us, this is a semi-evergreen, clump forming grass with soft blue-grey arching leaves and small upright flower spikes in summer. Usually has best foliage colour in a position with plenty of sun.

Suitable for growing in a large container and also makes a very effective ground cover plant when planted in small groups.

• Position: Full sun or dappled to partial shade.
• Soil: Most fertile soil. Enjoys damp but free draining soil.
• Hardiness: Reasonably hardy. Best with shelter from wind. 
• Rate of Growth: Slow to moderate.
• Habit: Carex flacca 'Blue Zinger' grows to be a small clump forming grass.
