Camellia rosthorniana 'Cupido'

New to us, this is a compact evergreen shrub with a pyramidal habit and arching, slender branches with dainty dark green leaves and masses of beautiful pink flushed white flowers in late winter or early spring.

Ideal for a position sheltered from strong winds in sun or partial shade. Grows well in a large container.

• Position: Full sun or shade.
• Soil: Neutral or preferably acid soil. In chalky areas this can be grown in a large container with ericaceous compost.
• Hardiness: Reasonably hardy but requires shelter from strong winds. 
• Flowering Period: March - April.
• Rate of Growth: Slow to moderate.
• Habit: Camellia sasanqua 'Yuletide'  grows to be a medium sized or eventually large shrub.
