(Indian Chestnut) Particularly desirable flowering selection of Aesculus indica which was first selected by Sidney Pearce, the Assistant Curator at the Kew Royal Botanic Gardens in 1935.

Masses of very upright panicles of long, white, suffused-pink flowers with yellow markings in midsummer. Large dark green deeply lobed leaves.

Aesculus indica 'Sidney Pearce' is an unusual tree and can reach a good size eventually but is generally slow to grow initially and not for instant gratification.

Very limited availability this year.
