Description

An unusual, deciduous hawthorn with lovely flowers which is native to parts of Canada and North America, from Quebec to North Carolina and west into Minnesota. Crataegus crus-galli var. inermis has masses of creamy-white flowers in early summer, followed by large clusters of deep-red fruit in autumn.

The leaves are rounded and dark, glossy green in spring and summer before showing golden red and orange tints to the leaves in autumn before falling.
