Native to parts of the USA, Crataegus durobrivensis is a small tree with clusters of large white flowers in Spring, followed by dark crimson fruit in autumn. The flowers are very large by the standards of hawthorn and give a good display in Spring with the colourful berries later in the year lasting on the plant well into winter.

Large dark green leaves in summer have occasional orange and red tints in autumn before falling. A rare plant in the UK, Crataegus durobrivensis will usually fruit and flower best in a position with plenty on sunlight.
