Description

A rare selection, newly introduced to the United Kingdom from Belgium, Carpinus caroliniana 'Sentinel Dries' has dark green leaves with eye-catching dark red, yellow and orange autumn colours.

These colours appear darker than those of the classic Carpinus caroliniana and seem to start with a mottling on the leaf before colouring up fully. A good tree for autumn colour!

Supplied Size: 1.5L containers (40 - 60 cm tall)

• Position: Full sun or partial shade.
• Soil: Any moist, fertile soil including chalk.
• Hardiness: Hardy.
• Flowering Period: April - May.
• Rate of Growth: Slow to moderate.
• Habit: Carpinus caroliniana 'Sentinel Dries'  grows to be a small arching, branching tree.
