Available Autumn 2018 - A rare tree grown for its spectacular foliage, Morus alba 'Macrophylla' has huge, glossy, plane-like leaves up to 25 - 30 cm across when established. As a young plant the leaves are a little heart-shaped and lush, dark green.

The leaves stay on the plant usually until late autumn, whereupon they will fall quickly after a severe frost. Morus alba 'Macrophylla' does not produce edible fruit to speak of and is simply grown for its beautiful, large leaves.

This tree produces its best display of foliage if planted in a position sheltered from strong winds.
