A rare tree, Tilia henryana has huge, ovate (shaped like an egg) leaves which are edged with bristle-like teeth and an eye-catching silvery-pink colour, as they unfold in spring. The second flush of growth, in late summer (called Lammas growth) is also silvery-pink and this contrasts beautifully with the mature green leaves.
Small clusters of creamy-white, fragrant flowers that are borne in profusion on mature plants in late summer. Tilia henryana is a lovely, slow growing garden tree.
