  • Position: Full sun or light, dappled shade.
  • Soil: Moist or well drained, fertile soil. Sequoia sempervirens 'Lightning' does not enjoy shallow, chalky soils.
  • Hardiness: Hardy. In the U.K Sequoia sempervirens 'Lightning' appreciates some shelter from cold winds.
  • Rate of Growth: Vigorous.
  • Habit: Sequoia sempervirens 'Lightning' will grow to be a tall, conical densely branches tree once established although potentially less tall than a classic Sequoia sempervirens.
    • Height: potentially 25 - 30 m (82 - 100 ft) +
