(Yezo Dwarf Willow) Salix nakamurana var yezoalpina is a low growing, prostrate species of willow with lovely catkins which can be found growing in the wild on the alpine slopes of Hokkaido, Japan.
An excellent choice for a ground cover plant and is suitable for even the smallest of gardens. Grows well in rockeries and large containers.

This is similar to Salix subopposita but with a wider spread, slightly lower and flatter habit, larger leaves and more upright catkins. Salix nakamurana var yezoalpina is an excellent choice for a ground cover plant and is suitable for even the smallest of gardens.
