A handsome medium sized evergreen shrub with green and creamy-white variegated foliage with irregular white margins. Established plants have inconspicuous greenish-yellow flowers in spring with bright red berries in late summer and autumn.
One of our favourite variegated shrubs, most suitable for a position sheltered from strong winds!
- Position: Full sun or dappled shade.
- Soil: Well drained, fertile soil. Avoid waterlogged soil.
- Hardiness: Reasonably hardy but needs shelter from wind. Not suitable for cold, exposed areas.
- Flowering Period: April - May.
- Flower Colour: Greenish-yellow
- Rate of Growth: Slow to moderate.
- Habit: Medium sized, rounded shrub.
- Height: up to 2 - 2.5 m (6 - 8 ft) possibly a little larger in very sheltered favourable positions.
