Prunus 'Shogetsu' is a very handsome small tree once established with elegant branches covered with pink buds in spring opening to semi-double, white or very pale pink flowers. The green summer leaves have red, orange & gold autumn tints before falling.

Prunus 'Shogetsu' will generally give its best display of flowers if planted in a position with plenty of sun. 


  • Position: Full sun or light, dappled shade.
  • Soil: Any reasonably well drained soil.
  • Hardiness: Hardy.
  • Flowering Period: April - early May.
  • Flower Colour: Pink in bud, white once open.
  • Rate of Growth: Moderate.
  • Habit: Prunus 'Shogetsu' grows to be a small tree with a rounded crown.
