Pinus sylvestris 'Aurea' is a very handsome conical, tall shrub initially or eventually small tree with golden-green needles which are particularly vivid in winter. In spring and summer the needles turn pale green tinged with yellow. Established trees gradually develop flaking reddish-brown bark. 

Slow growing and suitable for gardens with limited space. Best in a position with full sun and good drainage.
