A handsome and unusual small to medium sized, compact shrub with narrow, dark green leaves and small, creamy-yellow flowers in late spring which are followed by small black fruit later in the year.
A handsome foliage plant which can be pruned to shape as required and is sometimes used for ornamental screening. Grows well in a large container.
Tolerant of hot positions and very dry soil. Typically smaller and more compact once established than the classic Phillyrea angustifolia.
