Position: Full sun or partial shade.
Soil: Moist or well drained, fertile soil. Nyssa sylvatica 'Miss Scarlet' requires a reasonably acid soil to produce its most vivid autumn colour and grow well.
Hardiness: Hardy. Nyssa sylvatica 'Miss Scarlet' appreciates shelter from cold winter winds.
Rate of Growth: Moderate.
Habit: Small, elegant branching tree.
