A superb dwarf, compact cultivar of larch discovered in Germany in 1970, Larix kaempferi 'Wolterdingen' has green-blue needles which turn a creamy-yellow in autumn before falling. Very slow growing and when mature it takes the form of a layered mound.

The compact habit makes Larix kaempferi 'Wolterdingen' a fascinating plant for growing in large containers and it is suitable for even the smallest of gardens.
